Hello, I'll go from Mexico City for the 49ers match on 1/12/13. Will be from saturday to monday and I've planned going to the following bars/breweries.

    - City Beer Store
    - Public House
    - Magnolia
    - The Page
    - Toronado

What do you think, is a good selection?? Somewhere else I should go??

    Cheers

It is a good selection, though if you have to miss any, I would knock out Public House and The Page. They're great, but not must-visits.

Other places to think about would include Monk's Kettle, Abbot's Cellar, Fat Angel, and, if you are comfortable taking the short BART ride to Oakland, the Trappist and Beer Revolution.

If you want to get any bottles to take home, City Beer and Healthy Spirits are all you need.

Good spots, however if you want a list in order of possible skips...

-Toronado/Magnolia (Must go to Toronado and though Magnolia is not a MUST, it is a few blocks away)
    -City Beer Store (Must go)
-Public House (Close enough to City Beer Store, but nothing to go out of the way for. Convince spot for games)
-The Page (Though blocks to Toronado/Magnolia, just a neighborhood joint with good beer. Nothing crazy)

I would also consider going to Monks Kettle if your willing to spend some cash. You wont get a ton of value at the place, but it is somewhere you should visit. As a local, I dont go often, but if I were traveling, I would for sure want to go to a place like Monks. If you make it to the mission, Zeitgeist is pretty rad too. If its nice out, you can grab a beer/burger and sit outside and smoke things. Probably whatever things you want to smoke are acceptable there, so make sure and know that and be ok with it before you hang out there.

Magnolia is one of the few places that makes legit cask ales, not to mention some of the best beer in SF (and amazing food). I don't know how anyone can justify saying it isn't a must-visit.

I'll skip The Page, will visit Public House only if I'm around AT&T park.

Is there any decent place close to Chinatown??

I'm not sure about Oakland, this will be my first time in San Francisco and I'm sure there are a lot of things to do/see in SF to venture into Oakland, what do you think??

You've only got three days -- nothing wrong with sticking to SF the whole time.

Near Chinatown? Hmm. The only thing that comes to mind is the Rogue Alehouse in North Beach, which is very missable. Jasper's Tap Room is an OK place to get dinner near Union Square, but Monk's Kettle would be a much better visit.

I think I might be able to visit Beer Revolution and The Trappist in Oakland!! I will take a sightseeing tour from 9:15 to 12:00 after the tour I could ride the BART from Embarcadero to 12th and hit Beer Revolution and The Trappist, then ride the BART again to Montgomery and I'll be blocks away from Chinatown, I can even skip Chinatown if it's covered in the Sightseeing tour and go straight to Magnolia or Toronado, how does it sound??

I suppose its just a matter of prioritizing as a traveler. If I were traveling, I would slot that after City Beer Store. I agree the cask is no joke and the food is pretty damn good, but I also dont find it to be something that I would be blown away by as a traveler in the likes of Toronado and City.

My usual afternoon with no work is driving to Toronado for lunch, having a beer and sausage, drive up the way to Magnolia for a cask, and head to brewcraft to pick up supplies. As a local, I skip City and make sure I always go to Magnolia.

It's a great plan -- but eat a lot! You're going to be stumbling and hurting if you get overly aggressive.

If you were going to a Giants game instead of the 49ers then the Public House would be a must.

I know, I'll skip Public House and go to The Trappist and Beer Revolution instead

La Trappe in North Beach is a great bar, and is pretty close to Chinatown.

While a bit further down Columbus from La Trappe (and only a few blocks from Fishermans Wharf) Kennedy's has a pretty decent tap list...31 beers and lots of bottles. Apparently great Indian food too.
