Miami Airport Layover

    Hey,

    I have a 2.5 hour layover at Miami International and was curious if it was worth my time to leave the airport to go to Big Games Liquor 10 minutes away? Saw another that was closer to 30 minutes away but figured that may be too far. Anything else close worth it? From Texas so some CCB stuff would be nice.

    Also, Searched around and have seen most people say there isn't a great place for a drink at the airport. Has that changed recently or am I still out of luck?

    I lived in Miami for three years and flew out of that airport more times than I can count - but unless something's changed in the last year or so, there's places to drink but nothing good.

    And you should have enough time to get from the airport to Big Games, but be prepared for insane traffic. Not sure if they carry CCB or not, so you might want to call first. Good luck.

    If they do carry any CCB it'll be Maduro, Hotter than Helles, and Florida Cracker, & doubtful for Jai Alai.

    I just flew out of Miami, had 4hr lay overs each time. Each time, the flights changed times, moved gates, etc... Probably wouldn't advise you leaving the airport. Just go to Café Versailles and enjoy a Café Cubano or Café con Leche with a side of papa rellenas or empenadas!

    Can't be worth the risk of missing a flight to go get beer that you couldn't take with you anyway.

    I'm not sure if I would risk leaving the airport on only a 2.5 hour layover. MIA is notorious for long lines, gate changes, unhelpful employees and general chaos. If you leave the airport and know exactly where you are going, get in and out quickly, and get back ASAP maybe you can swing it but you might get stuck in traffic and miss your connection.

    Ya I agree with this. Miami can be a breeze and it can also take forever.
