Miami Beach Trip Suggestions

On the beach...

Bars - Abraxas, The Room, Clandestino Pub (new), Lou's Beer Garden
Brewpub - The Abbey
Bottle shops - Whole Foods

 

Lost weekends is good. They have a small but good selection and just enough of the beach night life without the real high prices and terrible music. The food is good, great around 3am, and there's pool tables

 

How's Clandestino? I was trying to find a tap list/menu online and wasn't able to find anything to see what their beer/tap list is like.

 

I believe there's a place called Brother Tucker's down south, haven't been there but heard good things.
Another place called Laser Wolf has good beers, lots of Victory.
If you don't mind goin north a bit check out Due South and Funky Buddha for sure, both make great beer.

 

Brother Tucker's and Laser Wolf are in Ft. Lauderdale which is about 45 minutes to an hour away from Miami Beach. Funky Buddha and Due South will be about an hour/hour and a half drive (but Funky Buddha is really worth checking out.)

 

I haven't been there, but Cigar City recently did a tap takeover there....they gotta have some decent stuff. Remember, Miami Beach is a very liquor forward atmosphere. So even if the tap or bottle list is small, it might be "huge" in the big picture.

also 8oz burger bar and Burger&Beer Joint are good places to eat and get some good brews in. You can also go across the bridge to the filling station or the DRB. The Drb is tiny and not very comfortable when packed

 

Also recommend the Filling Station for some great burgers and pretty good tap/bottle/can line up.
