So there's a major sporting even going on between teams from these two fine cities. This thread is not about that. What this thread is about is what beer(s) would you pick to represent each of those cities? I'll get it started with the place I know best. For San Antonio my gut reaction is to go with Lone Star, if only because it says 'iconic Texas beer' to me even tho its not brewed there... But really, I'd put anything Freetail as my pick. They weren't the first brewpub in SA and their volume may not even be the largest, but I'd say they were the best and I'd put them toe-to-toe with anyone.
If we're picking best of the best to represent each city I'd have to nominate Peche'cus from freetail as San Antonios champion
Funky Buddha Lounge is near miami... not sure if that is close enough to count, but it should. Their Hop Gun IPA is solid... Their Pineapple Hop Gun is incredible.
Honestly, I'm not sure either city is flowing in original beer. However, if we could have a cigar competition, then my home town wins hands down.
Let's just agree that Miami has amazing Cuban sandwiches, hot women in small bikinis a plenty, and quality cigars while san antonio has freetail, great Mexican food, and diabetes
