Yeah I checked them out. Definitely in my list of places to stop. It also looks like they have a small distribution area.

Anyone else score either of the HOMES presales last night? They released a cryptic Instagram post yesterday alluding to BB3, with the number 155 in there as well. I’m guessing that was the amount of bottles available. By the time my phone refreshed at 5:00:40 or so they were already gone. I did get the HyperSurface Equlibrium collab though. First time I’ve ever gotten in on a presale of theirs. Pretty stoked.

I hope you enjoy. At $38 per bottle it’s an easy pass for me.

Maybe for me too after I try it. It’s a have to try kind of thing for me. Plus obviously with the way they limit the bottles and hype them up online, I’ve succumbed to some hype driven desire. Probably won’t be making it a regular thing. I’m due for a pickup there sometime next week anyhow so I figured I might as well shoot my shot. Honestly didn’t think I was gonna get it anyways with as fast as it sells out typically.

not sure if you’ve been to Urbanest in Ferndale lately. I just had their Pilsner. It was Italian inspired. Man was that a great Pils.

Can vouch for this place. Good beer and good food. About as farm to table as it gets

    Ive been, but pre-Covid.

The food looked good. The beers, sigh, everything doesn't have to be hazy. Czeck Pils and West Coast IPAs are good examples of clear beer, and mine weren't.

You’re referring to Farm Club here? I take it that means you’re already in TC?

Awesome I’m glad to hear it. Speaking of farm to table breweries and restaurants , it’s not a super well known place both due to location and lack of marketing but the Maple Grille in Hemlock is probably the best I’ve experienced so far. I’m excited to see how this place stacks up.

Where all did you go and if you would, provide some feedback?

As of now I’m planning for Stonehound, Rare Bird, and The Workshop. The reasons include availability of carry out beer, proximity to my hotel, BeerAdvocate and other online ratings, recommendations from you guys, and overall quality/atmosphere projected by the brewery(marketing). That’s my shortlist seeing as how I have one night available. If anyone has additional suggestions and/or reasons why or why not to visit a specific brewery I would appreciate any and all further feedback. I know we have already discussed TC breweries fairly extensively but I want to make sure I get the most advice I can as I haven’t been in the area for this purpose before. Cheers!

Farm Club. Potential, it was 91 F, no AC, but we were outside.

Hop Lot Super good atmosphere. The beers have improved. The Czech Pils had some light haze and was flabby. The German Pils was better. Food was good.

    Two k Farms. Great cider.

Garage Bar and Grill in Northport. The only beer that interested me was the Arbor Buzzsaw. I've had it before, and this version was the best beer I had on the trip, I was surprised by it.

Food looks killer at Garage bar. No beer menu online though. There’s a place by the same name In Grand Rapids. Can anyone say whether or not they are one in the same? Im not a cider man so that puts 2k out as I see they don’t brew beer, exclusively cider. And Farm Club ended up eliminated earlier in the week just to lack of interesting beers and availability of distribution meaning
I can get it at a store and don’t see a need to visit the establishment. And no a/c reaffirms that for me:wink:. Can you speak to whether or not Hop Lot serves any crowlers or cans? That’s the only thing keeping me from going there. I can’t drink a growler or howler quick enough to make it worth buying.

Here now. They’re at capacity. Bummer we still have limits on that.

Patio is a little small but it works.

Got a flight: Coconut porter, Pale, session and the IPA. Don’t feel like typing the names of them out lol.

All 4 are legit beers. The coconut porter is awesome. Not artificial at all and even sitting in full sun 85 degrees it goes down nicely.

The session might be my favorite. All the hoppy beers are hazy but all are really really tasty and not heavy (thinking M43 when I say heavy). These are crushable.

Would definitely check it out. Haven’t made it inside yet but I’ll report back if there’s any thing notable.

They offer both. Seemed like reasonable pricing from what I recall seeing.
