everything I had in mind has already been mentioned.

But, I'll mention it again... :open_mouth:

    GO TO GREENBUSH.

In the GR area, make time for Brewery Vivant (they have tours), and maybe Odd Side or White Flame. White Flame is basically on the way from New Holland to Founders. HopCat is a must. Merchants or Sicilianos for bottles if you are looking for something special to take home.

As much as I love JP, it might not be worth a trip across the state for if you really want tours. The lower east side of the state is a beer trip unto itself, what with JP, Kuhnhenn, B Nektar, Dragonmead, DBC, etc, plus the craft beer-centric bars like Berkley Front and whatnot.

Most of all, have a good time. Pace yourself, there's so many good beers here in MI.

With all of the recommendations, it is no longer a weekend trip, more like a week.

Go to Shorts in Bellaire while you are at it!

To be serious, get a maping program and see what all of these will take as to drive time.

Thanks for all the help! I've always found that true suggestions from people who want you to go places they like works out the best. With so many suggestions, now my task is planning where to go on the first trip, and which to save for a second trip...

But yeah, I've already started mapping drive times between places and where to stay when based on tour times. Where to bunk could be an entire other thread, but for me the beer is more important.

    Cheers!
