So the wife and I have been talking about spending a long weekend somewhere in Michigan, combining snowmobiling some trails, a day or two at the ski slopes, and some microbreweries.
Don't know if we're going to venture into the UP or not, although it hasn't been ruled out.
We would be coming from Ohio, what are some suggestions that would provide a mix of all three? I'm kinda looking at the Traverse City area?

Don't know too much about snowmobiling, but TC would be a great place for a beer and ski trip. Crystal Mountain, Shanty Creek, Boyne Mountain, Tree Tops are all nearby, further out is Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. All within 30-2 hours of TC. Breweries you have Right Brain, Jolly Pumpkin Olde Mission, Shorts. 7 Monks Taproom I've heard is pretty awesome as well.

All above is true..7 Monks is a cool place. But you also have North Peak, Mackinaw Brewing, and the filling station brewing

I'm of course going to say you should drive up to the Keweenaw, enjoy our awesome snowmobile trails and ski Mount Bohemia and Mount Ripley. There are four quality breweries within 30 minutes of Calumet. However, coming from Ohio, that's a long drive man. The Traverse City area is great, and probably the best bet beer wise. If they have some, I'm sure the trails will be fine, although busier and not as well maintained as they are here, and the skiing, well, it doesn't get better than Bohemia.
