Sorry, long gone. Check their website to see if it might be on tap (if you haven't already).

Thank you for the responses. That's what I assumed, just thought I would make one last ditch effort and ask. I'll certainly be sampling some at the cafe tomorrow. First visit to Bells. Pretty psyched!

You'll like it; it's a cool place. Don't forget to stop at the General Store at the front of the building.

Whats the word with The Hideout Brewing Company?

Not sure about Lansing, but for GR I'd definitely go w/ Hideout, Founders, Hopcat, and Vivant for sure. Someone else already asked this, are you driving through the eastern part of the state? It would totally be worth heading up 75 to Warren to stop at Kuhnhenn's and Dragonmead on the way there or back (or both  ). For that matter, you should also hit Dark Horse on your way through.

Having just done a Michigian road trip for KBS I would skip Lansing altogether in favor of Dark Horse and Bell's and possibly Greenbush.

In Grand Rapids go to HopCat for the burger and a beer for $6 happy hour. Then go to Founders and Brewery Vivant at your leisure. If you want to buy bottles (as opposed to 6 packs) go to Sicilianos.

Are you going to Detroit for your games? I would hit up Dark Horse on the way. Since you are coming from PA I would go to Kuhnhenn no matter what route you take. It was the highlight of my trip and I went to at least 7 different breweries.

We are just catching a couple of minor league games this time around. We went to Detroit about 5 years ago for a set of Tigers games. It's more of an excuse to get out of town and sample some different beers in different places. Sounds like Dark Horse and Kuhnhenn are getting a lot of love. We get Dark Horse in Pittsburgh, but not Kuhnhenn. May have to do a few side trips along the way or just leave a day early. For lunch the Saturday before getting to the hotel in Grand Rapids, which is actually in Comstock park (neaar the baseball field), we were probably going to grab lunch and beer at either The Hideout or Perrin. Which would be the best selection, since they are both a bit out of the way. We will cab down to the city and walk to all the other places around in downtown Grand Rapids.

I visited Perrin recently and it's a great stop for good food and beer. It's been a couple of years since I was at The Hideout, and I think ownership changed since then. I don't see it mentioned so much anymore in these threads so maybe it's not what it used to be. I'd recommend Perrin.

Not sure that Hideout has food either...

Sounds like Perrin will win out then. Thanks. On a seperate note, has anyone had any experience usinr the Grand rapids Hopper Shuttle? It seems to be be a pretty good deal. I'm between that or a cab. Any suggestion on which would be better? Is it pretty easy to get a cab in Grand Rapids?

My classmates have used the GR Hopper and raved about the experience I don't think you can go wrong if you want to shell out the cash. If it's warm enough you can grab a PediCab for cheap (bicycle rickshaw to clarify, but please let the jokes fly).

Quick side note, Perrin is STACKED with good looking employees. They serve BEER.
