And setting aside the ease/difficulty of getting there: you're still drinking in a parking lot.

This year's fest will likely be on rafts and you can kayak back to your motel.

Wow it's postponed until next weekend. A big fuck you to the organizers who just yesterday said they had contingency plans in place and now no one can cancel their hotel rooms nor have they mentioned anything about a refund.

Wow this really sucks. I'm out $182 on my Vrbo, and can't make next weekend. I understand weather is unpredictable but how do you not have not a backup plan? I'm guessing we won't getting a ticket refund either. What a disaster .

They announced refunds for anyone wondering.

A lot of local places are having events too for anyone still traveling to the area.

I may still go and just brewery hop, where can I find more info on events around town?

Facebook is probably your best bet.

I had heard others had luck with rescheduling their room for the next week. I get to stay at my in-laws but now have to scramble to get the next weekend off. Huge disappointment in the Guild today.

Sounds like hotels are giving refunds or switching dates, but those of us with Airbnb, VRBO, etc are out of luck. I'm just trying to wrap my head around why this decision wasn't made earlier in the week given the current flooding situation in the state and the consistent rain forecast for Friday morning. I understand, damned if you do and damned if you don't, I just feel like the Guild dropped the ball on this one by not canceling sooner. The refund is a nice gesture, however I still feel things could have been handled better then canceling less than 24 hours in advance.

Anyone going to the fest on Friday care to share their experience and standout beers here after?

So, with the event come and gone, what was everyone's favorite pour they had?

Gotta be Your Grandma on French Toast or Traxxx Night Fury for me. I just wish I could have tried more stuff from some of the smaller breweries.

My clear winner of best fest beer was Bushwacker Night Fury. The nose was incredible.
Tripelroot, who wasn't even listed on any literature, brought some coffee beer that was 17+%. It was outstanding. I don't even know what it was called, got a half pour from my uncle. Brewery 4 to 4 from Holland's Problematic Reasoning DIPA tasted like Boss Tweed Jr, really good for a never heard of (by me) brewery. Also, Montauk from Speciation was great. I don't really do sour beers but know that they are a well regarded sour brewery and wanted to join in on the fun.

Ascension's barrel aged Gorillas were my favorite especially the Rye barrel aged w/coffee & vanilla
