Michigan Winterfest!

Just a heads up that since I was unable to get tickets this go so I'm giving up my 11-month old reservation (2 queens + sofabed) at the Comfort Suites across the street from the ballpark. In case anyone can use it, be sure to call them ASAP!

 

Always jealous of the winterfest...way better beer releases. The one here in Detroit is good, but the beers are not as exciting

Bell's put up specific tap times for their specialty tent.

At our specialty tent, we will also be pouring (note tapping times):
Batch 9,000 (noon)
Bull In A China Shop (1 p.m.)
Chocolate Covered Cherry Double Cream Stout (2 p.m.)
Black Note (3 p.m.)
And X-Slam (4 p.m.)

 

Not bad. Batch 9k is great. I wonder if that black note is a new batch

 

We're going to be there on Friday (coming in from Chicago). Is it Friday?!?!

It doesnt say barrel aged, so I would assume it is not.

What are you guys really looking forward to? I put together a top ten, partly just for the hell of it and partly to try to not miss any of these. I cheated a bit with the Greenbush and Witch's Hat selections, just because I decided I'd figure out what I wanted from them when I got there.

What I'm looking forward to and what I may be able to actually try are probably two different things. But there are so many amazing sounding choices - and that includes the ones I'm not familiar with - I'm certain all will be good...

 

That is by far the best option for Greenbush at these things. They bring tons of different beers, but only tiny amounts of most of them, so if you make a list of things you want to try from there, they'll be out of half of them by 12:30.

i'm a newbie to the this one. I have to hit Short's first, greenbush, and then whatever everyone else wants to do and try. i found nearly 60 drink tokens last night we've accumulated so if anyone wants a drink on me, say hi. i've got plenty to burn!

Thought Bell's dumped the rest of Batch 9k after they filled the bourbon barrels for the BA9k...I could be wrong.
