    Y'all know the drill.

I'll flush this out when I have some more time but just to get things going here:

    1) Lower Lake Brewing in Hamilton NY has opened. Spot looks gorgeous and its very close to Good Nature Brewing so I'll make a trip out there soon.

    2) 6 Acres Farm Brewing in Mexico still in the works. Based on pics and updates I'd have thought a fall '24 opening but little news since.

    3) Broke Goat in the Binghamton area still in the works. Sometime this year is all I've got.

    4) Treehouse Saratoga open for cans, taproom still set for next month. Will check that out expeditiously when it happens.

    5) Spotted Octopus opening their Rochester spot (where Roc Brewing was near the Strong Museum) I would guess by spring at the latest, the spot was pretty turnkey.

    6) Monster Beach Brewing (and tiki bar?!) set to open tomorrow. Wild split concept idea but I love it.

    7) Falls Brewing in the works for Niagra, NY. Looks like they're gonna have a two-lane bowling alley in addition to some arcade games so that's pretty dope.

    More later!

    Meanwhile, down in Maryland....

Recently opened Mystique Barrel Brewing in Baltimore (not far from the ballparks). In the same spot as the former Suspended Brewing. The planned tap list sounds intriguing.

Over on the Eastern Shore in downtown Denton (not too far from the Delaware state line) will be the Eden Town Brewing Company. Taking over the old Nuttle Lumber building. Not sure of the tap list yet but hopefully the locals will give it plenty of love. Always grateful for rehabbed spaces instead of cookie cutter locations in business/industrial buildings.

    - Oh fuck yes, we got a new spot in the works right in my neck of the woods. Ilium Brewing Co. coming to Troy in 2025, right downtown. Building out the taproom now, so if I'm broadly guessing maybe a summer opening? Will be there day one either way.

    - Mountain Roads in Henrietta NY making progress, maybe a spring opening or sooner there.

Not sure if it was already mentioned but it looks like eckhart in the east williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn (not far Grimm) looks like it will be a tankpub style similar to that of sacred profane. Their instagram shows 3 horizontal tanks suspended above the bar. I stopped in and grabbed some beer to go but there was a wall blocking off everything so I couldn’t see progress on construction. Had to just press a little doorbell outside that says “press here for beer”. The helles and the Czech amber lager were good. I especially liked the amber.

Is the location the building that Illium Cafe used to be in? On Broadway across from the Monument?

Every once in a while I drive from my in-laws in mainland MD to my aunt's place at the DE Beaches, and would be nice to have something to stop by on that route. Looking forward to keeping an eye on it.

That was my first assumption but there’s a dope vintage/thrift shop there right now. The brewery is going on Fulton across from The Whiskey Pickle.

I hadn't heard the "next month" news about Tree House Saratoga. Is that official? Only thing I could find doing a quick search was the article below.

Ebbs closed their taproom in Williamsburg. I think the citi field one is still open for games. Not that anyone cares. Hence why they closed. That space in w’burg could become anything, but I’d love to see another beer focused place hop in there.

Also round table in Williamsburg has been open for a little while. I’ve been meaning to make a stop, but something about them has little draw for me. Hoping the liquid proves me wrong.

Not official from TH themselves but the exact same source said back in like October that they’d open for can sales in December and was right on with that.

Stopped at RT’s spot in West Haverstraw last year and both me and my two buddies all left extremely impressed with their beer. FWIW.

Cool cool. I’ll make it there eventually. Seems appropriate. Im trying to have a year filled with less haze.

I did some internet digging and apparently the building on Fulton is called the Ilium Building, its on the National Register of Historic Places. So the name of the new brewery makes sense.

@IGaveYouPower I see that Mean Max Brew Works has a satellite taproom in Troy - how is it?

Seeing that Tree House Saratoga still has job postings for hospitality manager, assistant hospitality manager, general manager, kitchen manager, and a few other jobs suggests they aren't opening the taproom any time soon. Unless they just haven't updated their job postings. I hope that's the case because I was contemplating a trip up there in March!

Super cool spot actually. Tons of bar seating, huge taplist, they've got pinball, pints are only like $6-7. I usually go like once a month. The coconut cream ale is also a five-star banger.

Job postings are all still up for Tree House Saratoga. Any updates to the rumor mill? Heard anything @IGaveYouPower ?

Nothing further ATM but there is no way they are still hiring for positions like that a year (or more?) after announcing this spot was opening.

    Unrelated:

    - Illium Brewing in Troy moving WAY faster than anticipated. They want to be open by next month. Still building out the taproom but they've been brewing there already must have all their permits and hiring taken care of to have that sort of timeline.

    - Fidens wants to open a spot in Saratoga County. Explains a lot of the (deeply fucking shitty) decisions they've made the last few weeks. Doesn't absolve, but explains.

    - Mixed Breed in Guilderland re-upped their lease at the current spot for another year. They said they still are working on the golf course taproom so IDK if they plan to have two spots open at once or if the new place is just taking longer than anticipated.

    - Big Ditch's Lockport location opening soon. Looks like a big, gorgeous beer hall. Really a great renovation of a historic space.

Mountain Roads (not to be confused with Mountain King, who also just opened) new up and running in Henrietta. Looked like they had 5-6 IPA/DIPA 4-packs to go.

Which as a reminder is their whole business model. All IPAs, all to go, no taproom. (I say that just as a matter of record, not shading them)
