Going to be in the area this weekend. Any good bottle shops close to Fat Heads brewery? And if so, are they open Sundays?

How close you looking for? I’d head to Mack’s in Parma, probably 10-13 minutes away and almost certainly your best best for stores on the southwest side.

Circle A is a little east and south of Fat Heads. Around 10 mins. Further south is Royal Park. Both are a little closer than Macks, near west 130th street. Both have a lot of goodies but Macks has a better variety.

Good timing for a trip - hop juju and a week old release of special hoperations are available. Lots of Toppling Goliath around too.

Yes, this is fifth annual trip, always timed around hop juju release. Hoping to pick up some 3 Floyds as well. Any of these places open Sunday?

Circle A gets my vote for my favorite go-to in the area. Things are usually very fresh, solid collection. They single out everything. Mack's is often loaded to the gills with so much stuff, it sits and can get a bit old if you are not careful. Far smaller collection of singles (one cooler, basically).

Circle A has a better turnover rate for fresher beer, in my experience. They don't buy a ton so they tend to have a better fresh stock of what they do have.

I'd also recommend Market District Strongsville and Heinens in Strongsville for two grocery stores that have a nice selection, for sure. Royal Park Fine Wine is also in the same area, each a few minutes apart from one another.

If you want to spend an hour to hit up a few shops from Fat Head's, go to:

Circle A -> Royal Park Fine Wine (North Royalton Location) -> Heinens Strongsville -> Market District Strongsville

Between those four, you should find plenty of goodies.

Mack’s will allow you to break up sixers into singles if you ask. I don’t think I’ve ever been denied, although I’ve been stopping in there at least once a week for the past 10 years.

When I visit(ed) Cleveland for Cinema Wasteland, I used to go beer shopping at a venue referred into BA, but the last few times it has been all Heinens Strongsville. I even signed up for its frequent shopper card. (I've never seen a beer put on special via it.) It now does growlers also.
An eyebrow-raising visit was one week after I was shut out of Founders KBS at Whole Foods @ Belmont, Lincoln, & Ashland (Chicago), this Heinens had cases of KBS on the floor. Yes, I really did wind up bringing back bottles of it on the Amtrak train.
The pattern for me if and when I attend another Cinema Wasteland {next one is in October} is:
Exit Amtrak train @ ~5:30 am.
    Ride Waterfront LRT.
Change to Red Line to Airport @ Tower City.
    Get rental car at airport.
    Eat breakfast somewhere.
Motor to plaza in Strongsville with the Heinens and a Dollar Tree.
Buy a pail and snacks for weekend at Dollar Tree.
    Buy beer at Heinens.
Later, head for the Holiday Inn.
