Someone was talking to me the other day about just getting back from there, and they said they had no issue finding places to get good beer. One of the places he told be about was Bean & Grape. Both it and Midland Beer Garden, The Blue Door and the Hemmingway are listed on Untappd. Have fun and update us on what you find. In looking seems that the Bean and Grape isn't keeping its taplist updated
LMAO! I was checking out the above list provided by @donspublic for locations. The Blue Door is a half block from my folks retirement center and next door to the Jason's Deli we frequent when I'm in town to visit. Didn't have a clue! I'll stop in on my visit next week.
Was in Midland today and my brother took me by Bean and Grape, but they were closed (about 4 pm) getting ready for the big Valentine crowd. Brother goes there for a glass of wine with his wife occasionally but he doesn't really pay as much attention to the beer. Went from there to the Blue Door. Brother had a couple of Old Fashioned's and I had a Deschutes Fresh Haze. No taps. A selection of maybe 30 cans/bottles. Definitely a cocktail centric place. Brother said there were a couple of brewpubs trying to get started but was fairly empty of details. Will continue to investigate.
