I am from Chicago and was looking into heading to St. Louis for this event (July 25). Really nice brewery list. Just wondering if anyone's been to it before and had any thoughts on it. Thanks!

I'll be going for the first time, so I can't really speak on how it is, but Perennial is hosting it I believe and they are a great bunch.

I'm planning on going for the first time this year. I've talked to people on twitter that loved it. Especially great if you like sours/wild ales.

I went last year, it was a great time. Side Project obviously had the longest line. We would get a pour and then go right back to the end of the line to drink it while in line.

Make sure to bring your antacids!

    I second the antacids part.

Also, the space is interesting. It's an antique motorcycle museum. It's not the most conducive to a beer fest, but it does have some cool things to look at.

The beers themselves were pretty good. I only went through the SP line once because it was so long. Last year I think they ended up having some small food items available, more of that would probably be good.

Any chance of seeing abraxas/BA abraxas/other perennial or SP stouts?

Only if they're raffling them off in one of the baskets again like last year. They really tried to keep the focus on wilds/sours and beers with Belgian yeasts. Not to say it won't happen, but just not very likely.

Abraxas is an American stout, so odds are no. But their Belgian Chocolate Stout collab with New Belgium will probably be there.

Personally, I'm hoping for a Derivation appearance, but it is unlikely I think.

If anyone has two tickets for sale or trade, please message me. My girlfriend and I are flying in from Texas that weekend and would love to attend.

Nevermind this. More tickets were allocated for purchase online and I got the two I needed.

No beer list yet, just a brewery list.

I'm not sure a beer list ever gets released formally. It's a mute point. If you aren't satisfied with Side Project and then de Garde and Wicked Weed being on tap in Missouri then please, don't come.

Hopefully seeing a beer list soon on stlhops, according to Perennial twitter:

Wondering if the HF line length will rival SP's. HF might be the brewery I'm most excited to try.

Honestly, I love Side Project, but with as many great breweries that will be there that I dont get to see on a regular basis I'm having a hard time deciding if I can justify spending all my time waiting in their line only.

I'm right there with you. I can head down to Side Project Cellar anytime I need a SP fix. I cannot just run out and grab stuff from Hill Farmstead, Cigar City, de Garde, etc. Those are the lines I'll be in come Saturday

Last year all they had for HF was Nordic Saison. Hopefully that's changed this year for your sake. De Garde also only had one or two available, and they were not some of their better beers.

That would be sad. Hope to see a beer list soon so I can develop my "plan of attack"

Was really hoping to see a list by now, not that I have any qualms about this not being an aweosme fest. Ill second some of the others, will definately wait in SP's line but im at the celler often enough that I cant justify spending the whole night in their line.
