I'm specifically looking for a spiegelau stout glass from a Midwest brewery. I can get one from either rogue or left hand, but looking for a "local". Anyone know of one?

I believe that's the brand surly sources from but I'm not entirely sure. Goose island for sure.

Pretty sure Summit sells a branded Spiegelau stout glass.

Not to get too geeky, but try to ensure that what you get has the etching-nucleation point at the bottom of the glass. With the IPA glasses, I've only found the Sierra Nevada and Dogfish branded ones to have them, it makes more of a difference for appearance (bubbles flowing up from nucleation point/head retention) than I expected. Splitting a bottle between an IPA glass that has one and one without makes for one that appears far more appealing than the other.

Expect stout glass would be similar since unbranded ones do not have etching but Left Hand and Rogue do. They cost a bit more, but IMO the etchings make enough of a difference to make a difference.

Thanks guys. I looked at Summit, but don't see one there. It's basically a gift from my mother in law for Christmas. I just wanted to find something easy to get and something they can ship. I've been wanting a real stout glass for a while. I'll keep looking.

Sorry, but by real stout glass are u talking about the hybrid IPA looking glass they came out w, or the normal spiegelau tulip? I only ask bc I don't consider the goofy hybrid one anywhere near a "real" stout glass.

I prefer to use a footed chalice at home and Summit and Fulton (for instance) sell these for a nice price, but sans nucleation points.

I also poked around several other upper midwestern brewery pages for stout glassware, but no luck. I know that France 44 carries a better than average selection of beer glassware, so @dlphnfn might consider contacting them to see what they have in stock.

For the record, I ended up getting a Left Hand stout glass which does have a Left hand etched in the bottom. Kind of a cool detail. It's a neat glass and stouts taste so much better in it.

I prefer to drink my stouts out of my etched Surly Darkness styrofoam cup.

Why even bother using a glass and help save resources and the planet. Just drink out of the can or bottle and then throw it in the garbage, no fuss.
