Mainly I am interested in ones available (but not necessarily brewed) in Minnesota. This is my first Fall here and I am familiar with East and West Coast pumpkin beers, I am not sure which breweries out here actually make one. The thread about the rumour that Surly may do one next year got me thinking that outside of Southern Tier and Shipyard, I don't know what other breweries based or distributed in MN actually will offer pumpkin beers. Or even related beers like yam, sweet potato, squash beers, etc.

If people could contribute the ones that they know of and maybe rank them, that would be great.

And yes, we all know that Pumpkin beers are a love/hate thing.

I really love the Ichabod from New Holland and Sweet Yamma Jamma from Indeed is spectacular.

As far as local or semi-local avalable in Minnesota:

Town Hall's Pumpkin Ale is good. I am a big fan of Lakefront Brewery's pumpkin lager. Sweet Yamma Jamma is now being canned. Tyranena Painted Ladies gets a thumbs up. Summit had brewed a one time pumpkin porter that was very good. Maybe we can persuade them to brew it again?

Sweet Yamma Jamma is already available. Had it on tap yesterday and the first cans at retail were 9/3/13.

Forgot that I have seen Ichabod and bout a bottle last week. Each year I try to pick up a bottle of each that I can find and do a pumpkin beer tasting all in one night. And because so many beer geeks are anti-pumpkin beers, then it tends to be with non-beer geek friends while carving pumpkins and baking seeds. But this year for me should be a whole new experience, as I have never had much from out here in regards to pumpkin beers.

Not sure if or how much it's distributed in Minnesota, but I'd recommend Stevens Point Whole Hog Pumpkin beer. If not distributed in the Cities, I'd bet you could find it in Hudson.

Do you guys have Shipyard? Their Smashed Pumpkin (NOT Pumpkinhead) is good.

Schlafly Pumpkin Ale is my favorite Midwest pumpkin beer, though the closest you will find it is Northern Iowa.
