Any thoughts out there on MidWest Supply all grain commercial quility kettle kits?

Personally, I don't think it is worth the money. 10 gallon pots limit you to 7.5 gallon batches, and I like brewing 10 gallons when I need to fill my kegs. The pots will be nice, and it will be a great system none-the-less...but you can put together a similar system for half (or less) the cost.

I would say less cost, not sure on half. I would go bigger. You never know when you're going to want to do a barleywine (did my first one this year, after 10 years of brewing), or brew 10 gal to fill kegs as mentioned. At that price range, you're talking the difference of 50 bucks sometimes for additional 5-10 gal of capacity.

What's interesting is that the Blichmann Boilermakers are about the most expensive kettles out there, and they don't have the tri-clad bottoms like Polar Ware, MoreBeer Heavy Duty Kettles or the Norther Brewer Megapots.

whether tri clad is needed is debatable. Agreed they are more expensive though.
