I couldn't find a thread about my question, so I figured that this place was the best forum to ask it. I'm headed to Europe in September with my girlfriend and a couple other friends to ride the eurail. I was wondering what kind of prices the beer at either of the Mikeller Bars in Copenhagen are like. I know that they've had Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord and Rare DOS and other highly sought after beers, but are the prices so outrageous that it wouldn't be worth my time? I appreciate any advise on this. Still trying to put together a list of breweries, shops, and bars I need to go to. -Sean
Hi, I was there in may during the Copenhagen Beer Celebration and the prices were pretty decent FOR DENMARK. As you're coming from the US, I think you'll find the beers a bit expensive especially the American beers. But I wouldn’t say it's outrageous. You can also try the shop in Viktoriagade in front of the Mikkeller bar, he is specialized in Norwegian beer and has a great selection of Nogne 0 beers. Fabien
It was 120 DKK (22 USD) for a 20cl pour of Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord (last year they had Brandy Vanilla for the same price too). More than fair enough in my opinion, but not cheap.
