Not joining myself, but $60/month for 6 to 12 beers/month is totally reasonable. $5 to $10 per bottle, not bad if it's mikkeller's best stuff every so often.

Shipping would really kill you though.

I suspect they will be brewing most of these out of San Diego...

Read above, if they are, they are still dinging you for $50 a month for shipping

Minus biscotti break, their beers are slightly above average for style. Just don't join and move on. Too many impulsive rookies on here.

They mentioned 6-12 beers for the club. If it's only six beers a year for the year at $864 that comes to $144 a beer. No thanks.

    Biscotti break is evil twin.

Imperial Biscotti Break is Evil Twin, not Mikkeller. And they don't brew together.

You know what, screw it. I signed up just to see what the inaugural shipment looks like. It'll be fun to get a mystery package from a quality brewer. Most of these clubs are much harder to get into, have perks that only apply if you live in the area, etc.

They aren't asking for a giant commitment. If it's not worth the money or I'd rather spend the money on beer locally, I'll cancel.

I'm not at all surprised. I stopped buying Mikkeller beers long ago because the price is way higher than it should be for what you get. What's really funny is they just opened a brew pub with 3 Floyds, so now they can over charge for mediocre beer, and make it limited far beyond necessity...$$$$$

Instead of worrying about boycotting AB INBEV sellouts, we should turn our attention to the breweries that play marketing games and try to get you for an extra 5 bucks a bottle for no real good reason.

Also, the time to move stuff around is a factor. Staging and freight from Europe is quite an enterprise. I worry a lot less about world beers now that such good new beers are available even at my cheap taco/sopa place. I had a Gibbs 100 Greensboro Pale Ale in a huge mug tonight for cheap, with great friends and great food. It is a different world and I'm very pleased.

I wonder how many Spontan bottles they'll send out. No snark intended, just genuinely curious about the selection.

Obviously, I'm not in their target audience, and I already know where to get more than my fill of their beer.

We are not talking about the weather. We are talking about whether or not this is a good deal.

    Enjoy

Mikkeller beers tend to be shelf turds (I know, some hate that term, but I feel it is appropriate in this case) in my area. Why in the world would anyone pay to get them when I can easily go and get mark-down/clearance prices on them?
