FYI for anyone planning on visiting the brewery over the the next few weeks Per Facebook: Due to the recent and ongoing outbreak of COVID-19, MKNYC will be temporarily closing the taproom effective today Thursday, March 12th until March 25th (subject to change as conditions do). To be clear: we have not had any member of staff or clientele get sick or test positive for the virus but, out of an abundance of caution, we think it best we do all we can to keep our customers and staff as safe as possible. During our hiatus, we will be doing exceptional deep cleaning as a further safety measure to keep our production facility and taproom hygienic and sanitary. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the taproom closure, we will also be postponing our upcoming events including our 2nd Anniversary Party. Please keep a look out for more info on its rescheduling in the coming weeks. Paint Nite tonight, Bottomless Brunch this Sunday, and all events next week are now canceled. We would like to thank everyone for their understanding at this unprecedented time. We will keep you updated regarding re-opening of the taproom. In the meantime, stay safe, support your local businesses, wash your hands, and drink good beer. Thank you, TEAM MKNYC I wonder if other breweries will follow?
Idk if Barrier is closing but they postponed the show they were going to have tomorrow night. Saw Dubco is also limiting visitors. I went to Mikeller on Sunday. Had the coconut stout and a few other beers. The coconut stout was great - nice and roasty with a bit of vanilla and obviously coconut. Also the Tune In, Space Out was a very good NEIPA. They consistently make the most underrated IPAs in NY. Grabbed a 4 of that and the oated lager Oh Hello. That was the first time I was there when there wasnt a Mets game and loved the chill atmosphere. Unfortunately I wont be going back there before a Mets game anytime soon.
