Mikkeller July 12

They're open 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. most or maybe every day until the grand opening. Unclear how many of the taps will be in action. A lot more will be revealed tonight.

 

Email from them:

the Soft opening starts friday july 12th. 5 pm

--open everyday at 5 pm till August 9th.

--limited hours--limited taps--limited bottles--till August 9th--

--after august 9th we will be open at 12 noon everyday!--

--kitchen hours 5 pm to 11pm--

--The sour room will not be open till Aug 9, sorry we are building our cellar--

They're saving the big guns for the rock hard opening.

 

There was a taplist posted to twitter last night, it was super boring. I was planning on going but I have better stuff on tap in my apartment, so I won't bother. Maybe sometime when it's convenient I'll check out the soft opening, but if they keep bringing out the D-list then I'll just wait for the real one.

I mean, it basically looks very similar to a taplist at the Trappist but with more Mikkeller than usual. Which makes sense.

 

I'm impressed. Just how many taps does your apt. have?

Other Jason does need to get over here some time to pick up these empty bottles!

That's the first time I've heard Mikkeller and flaccid in the same sentence. They're a world-class brewer.

I was considering meeting some folks there despite the nothing-to-JO-to taplist and likely same situation for bottles, but when I drove by there at 5:30pm there were probably close to 100 people in line and it looked full inside. My friends confirmed that they were already at capacity inside, so that line's going to get longer before it gets shorter. Oh, well...

 

I'm inside right now. So epic
