They have been previously. I cannot answer if they currently have stock for sale, however.

We were there in August, and they didn't have any glassware for sale at all.
The place was actually kinda disappointing:
    -no glassware
    -not terribly helpful or friendly
-cool list , but kinda crazy expensive (even for SF)

Don't waste your time Tom. I checked on any glass for purchase a couple of weeks ago and they have stopped making all glasses for this bar. They keep saying that it was too hard to stop people from stealing them. They are idiots and I agree with what @dand645 said above.

@dand645 & @CheapBeerBuzz I appreciate the feedback! I have a regular mikkeller glass but figured if he was willing to stop a sf one wouldn't hurt the collection. But I appreciate the feedback so I don't waste his time! Question though does rare barrel have any glassware available if I send him that route instead? Already have almanac so I wouldn't worry about sending him there. Thanks and cheers

They did not sell glassware, but that was back in August. However, city beer (right around the corner) has a pretty cool glass, and they also have a bunch of random glassware for sale. It might be worth a look.[IMG]

What Gambit said. If you are looking for glassware, I would recommend having him stop by City Beer Store. They have some decent stuff half the time and he can send you a picture of what they have when he is in town. They often have Tiquin tumblers and their own snifter which is nice and not too pricey ($6 I believe).

    Doah...just realized dand645's response.

If your dad is really feeling like he has time to kill, have him go to Toronado and see if they have any interesting bottles to sell for take out (always have Pliny). Or send him all the way down to Sante Adairius and have him pick up some glasses from them...

I think calling them idiots is a bit harsh. Specialty branded glassware often costs $3-4 a glass if it is not a common glass style. Spending an extra couple hundred dollars a month potentially just to have branded glassware that is constantly being stolen doesn't seem to me like a logical business plan.

They are idiots because they can use the unbranded glassware for the bar (which they have been doing for the last year) and they can only sell the branded glassware to go. Simple solution.

They also put two cases of 3F 1998 OGV 50th on their bottle list for onsite consumption when they first opened up, at $72/bottle. They were then surprised by the interest after it sold out in a couple hours.

    I stand by my comment.
