Thank you ... Agreed, that's solid / standard

I have found everything I've tried (most of the beer geek variants, gose, IPA, Brett IPA) to be very solid.

    Huge necro bump, 1year+.

Upcoming beers, aside from their weekly can releases they have collabs with the following breweries:
    Mikkeller + 3Sons (imperial stout)
Mikkeller + TiredHands (not sure but could probably take a guess)
Mikkeller + CigarCity (also not sure)

Seems that the beers have evolved quite a bit since this thread was created, too. I really like most everything I've tried from them. The Fruit Face series always sounds strange on paper, but it always works.

Bill is gone, which is a bummer but I hope they keep the quality up. Certainly one of the better breweries around town at this point.

I've been digging their fruit face and IPA cans. They're doing some cool stuff and their beer geeks are always solid.

It also doesn't hurt that they're so close to Alesmith.

I was in SD for Memorial Day weekend and had never had anything from Mikkeller. They just so happened to have a can release that weekend (No Haze Off NEIPA) Saturday at noon so figured I would check the place out. Got there around 12:30 expecting huge crowds of people because that's how can releases are in OC, but there was maybe a dozen or so people there and I was able to walk straight up to the counter and pick up a couple of 4 packs. Plenty of cans available with 24 cans/person limit.

It was a breath of fresh air to not have to wait in a massive line for hazy cans, and these cans are tasting AWESOME. Would have stayed to try other things on tap, but was on a schedule so could only stop by for the cans. Kinda feels like discovering a hidden gem. Mikkeller is absolutely 100% solid and I'm looking forward to getting more of their releases in the future.

Right?! I'm surprised at how little attention they get in comparison to the quality of their releases. Even the new core Windy Hill IPA is fantastic and every bit as good as the best of their weekly IPA releases, IMO. Love that spot.

What's the best way to get the latest info, like this? Is there a mailing list?

I follow their Instagram and they are heavy posters there. I like that they have had a lot of hazy IPA releases lately. Centennial Eyes wasn't good, but Devil's Triangle was really good and Hazy Eyed Sally was good as well. Going to get some if their Simcoe Eyes if it doesn't sell out too fast.

Next week is going to be expensive - Rum and Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Shake, regular Vanilla Shake, Trip On Wood, Alesmith IPA collab...

No word on pricing/limits yet for the BA Vanilla Shakes. Also no word yet on the first Viking bottles for the year though they're supposedly coming some time this month as well.

At least this week should be less expensive with just the fruit face release.

True. I'll definitely swing by for a 4pk or two of those. Have you had a chance to try it yet?

Sadly no, I missed the tuesday preview keg, but I will be there this evening around 4:30 or so to try and then likely buy a couple.
