Anybody purchased internationally from Mikkeller's webshop recently? I know in the past they've experienced issues with customs. & while they seem to be more than helpful in getting everything squared away when all is said & done, I'd rather not have the headache, if possible. Wondering if things have been cleared up, or running smoothly since that time... Any recent feedback? Thanks.
Never had any issues. Super quick, friendly. I've never had issue with the shop. It's great now that they've lowered shipping costs to Europe. But again I live in Ireland, not the US.
I just received a box from Sweden. Beer, wine, mead and some jams. It was shipped through FedEx with zero issues. Even though more expensive, but FedEx or UPS are the way to go for international beer shipping.
Never ordered from Mikkeller but as an example BiaB ships through Bpost in Europe, and then once state-side, USPS handles the rest of the delivery. I've never had an issue with my shipments from them using that shipping method.
I ordered from them in March. Box arrived in pretty bad shape, with 2 bottles of 6 broken. They immediately sent out 2 replacement bottles that arrived just fine. Certainly expensive, but I'd be happy to order from them again.
What about in a state where you can't even import beer from another state? Is the box labeled "beer"?
