Anyone try this? I love the label and its supposed to be a decent sour (though weyerbachers recent track history would suggest otherwise). I heard it was supposedly released around PBW this year but its not on BA that i can find. Anyone trade for one? what is the going value roughly?

    thanks in advance

I could be wrong, but I don't think this hit distribution. This was given out to the attendees of The Philly Beer Scenes Award Show a couple days before the start of PBW. If it was released it's under a different name.

If anyone has more info, please chime in ....

It didn't hit distribution and it was just given out as part of the Philly Beer Scene awards.

Also, given their recent track record? The newest version of Riserva is leagues better than the previous year's Riserva.

riserva yes, but that was in barrels before their expansion. 18 is a drain pour, heresy this year was awful, imperial pumpkin seems off, it seems they altered something in their production after the expansion, im not the only one to say that their normal product has fallen off (which makes me quite sad. I loved Sierra, Tango, Imp pumpkin from prevoius years, etc. I sitll have a bottle of idiots drool sadly)

Your statement implied/read like you were referring to their recent track record with sours. And judging by shadowane's response, that's how he read it too. To which I'd say Riserva '12, Sour Black and Rapture were all really good so I wouldn't follow your logic there.

Was not my intentions, i agree that riserva 12 and rapture were awesome. sour black was great at first, kind of odd now (imho). But their other (non sour) releases seem to have declined.

Agreed. Not drinking super well at the moment.

Had one a few months ago, thought it was just as good.

Myself, kapkenobi and a few other BA's had one on Saturday and it was just weird. The initial funk/sourness that was, in my opinion, quite prominent fresh had softened a lot. I'm hoping it's just going through a phase right now.

Millennium Falco was really good. I was surprised. But youll have to buddy up with someone that went to the Philly Beer Scene awards and still has a bottle left.

'twas pretty good. Lucked into two bottles.

Weyerbacher has several other sours in the pipeline too.

Yeah, this is what I thought he meant. Didn't realize he was talking about their whole lineup. As far as that consistency, I haven't had anything from them lately so I don't have much of a comment. I did have the 18 on draft somewhere and it was fine but had the usual Weyerbacher alcohol burn.

I was able to land one of these. I hear nothing but excellent things about it. Excited to crack it open on a special occasion.

Have been lucky enough to try Millennium Flaco and it is absolutely fantastic. Probably Weyerbacher's best sour to date...Rapture was up there as well. They should just convert to all sours production. They really make some awesome sour stuff. Far better than anything else they do...although I do like Double Simcoe a lot!

To be honest, my buddy is friends with the owner and brewers and they gave him 3 bottles and he let me have one as a gift :/ so I would have no idea BUT I had a guy offer me a trade of GREY MONDAY for it LOL
