I will be attending the Brewfest for the first time tomorrow, VIP. Anyone have any helpful hints? There is a mention of rare and limited brew samples for the VIPS, are these located in a specific area? I have heard they have run out of beer in the past, should this be a concern if you get there when they open? Thanks in advance.
So frustrated I wont be able to make this. I have time for a lakefront brewery tour tomorrow morning, but thats it.
The first year was a shitshow. Beer ran out early because they oversold tickets, they didn't have enough port-o-potties so people were pissing all over the place, and there weren't actual reps from breweries... just some people hired for the day. VIP only meant you got in early - no rare pours. I guess last years was a lot better - they quickly addressed all of the common complaints. I can only imagine that this year they have everything down to a science and should be a good time. I know there's one booth (BeerFM) where some BCBCS, Cascade Apricot and other good stuff is being poured periodically but I don't think you need to be a VIP.
