If it gives you pleasure, why do you feel guilty?

Shouldn't you do the experiment at least twice to confirm the same result?

In the interest of science, I suppose I should. Unfortunately (read: fortunately) I don't think they sell Tilt around here any more.

These kinds of beers typically negative connotations attached to them, hence the "guilty" part of that phrase I used. I guess I meant it more as a phrase than an actual pleasure that makes me feel genuinely guilty. I could have said something like "a style that isn't very popular on BA but I like anyway, popular styles be damned" or something to that effect.

I had to Google Tilt. AB has been making it since 2005. Eyes opened.

There used to be a 12% version. That's the one I tried. (For science.) I don't know if that one is still produced. At any rate, drink responsibly.

I'm not a fan of Milwaukee's Best, but I still enjoy beers that I have been drinking since high school like Colt 45 and Olde English 800.

Drink what you like. Honestly the "cheap" beers do the job especially if you're looking for a quick, cheap buzz. They don't still make the stuff because nobody likes it.

Some people crave a Waygu Beef Burger with white truffles, Serbian Donkey Milk Pule on a Orchard Pigs Bakery 23- carat loaf of lighty toasted bread.

    Some people like a Baconator.

The good old Crooked-I (St. Ides) never did me wrong. A bit over 8%, probably like $1.15 a pop for a tallboy . Less than $2 for a 40.

Do they sell that stuff anymore? I woke up outside of a girl's apartment building at about 3am after drinking those. Didn't know how I got there. Looked down and had another bottle or two of st ides so I started drinking again. Used to love them right out of high school, which was about 15 years ago. Haven't seen them since.

Oh it most definitely still exists! Still goin' strong, at least in my area. I also have some really hazy memories I wish to forget from crooked i, but that's always been my go-to high-gravity malt liquor. Cheers!

    Yeah!

The flavor has changed from ok to nasty and the APV is the result of some trickle or vomit down philosophy the market seems to be driving.

I remember Private Stock was one of those beers for me but then it disappeared around 2009. Sad times. I've been getting Country Club as my 40 fix lately...

Also, fun fact: the "west coast" formula of OE 800 is around 7.5% ABV whereas the stuff we get out here in the East is around typical 5+% ABV. When I lived in AZ I had no idea there was a difference til I fished one. Hits you kinda hard hahaha
