MIni Brew is a countertop beer brewing system set to launch this summer. Similar in look to an oversized coffee maker, the machine relies on Wifi to crank the engine for instructions on how to prepare and deliver your raw ingredients into a 5 litre keg of promised goodness.

A bit pricey, perhaps it will come down over time, particularly if it takes off and competitors churn up the waters. Also need to see some tests and reviews, but looks interesting. I'm sure died-in-the-wool brewers will cringe, much as coffee aficionados cringe when they see a Keurig.

And - I'd hold out for the Barrel Aging option.

A very expensive version of the old "just add water home-brew sack". This will make terrible beer and add to the growing number of automatic beer makers that will continue to stunt the growth of a great hobby - the way the sack and other grocery store quick brew products did back in the 90's/00's. "Did you try the IPA Jeff made on that contraption on the countertop? It tasted like gasoline soaked cardboard -- yeck!!!". You can't make decent beer w/a coffee maker. What's next - paint my own oil painting maker? Maybe I'll make a Mona Lisa today!

i've seen the Pico Brew in person and have heard bad things about it. Expensive and doesn't make good beer.

I'll stick to my homebrewing, my beer is better than insta-brew and i worked for it. even if my homebrew turns out shitty i'll drink it knowing i put labor into it
