I just got an old mini fridge (that doesn't have one of those little freezer things) from a friend, hoping to use it to cellar some of my growing beer collection. On its warmest setting, it looks like it hovers around 45 degrees. Is that too cold for extended cellaring? My previous "cellar" was our pantry...in the Florida heat...so I assume this is a better option for now, but should I be looking for something a little more permanent? Thanks!

Well yeah, I know, but it seems like the system stops the compressor "softly", instead of just crashing it by yanking the power which is what this does.

I think it really depends on your preference. I usually go pretty cold.
