Hey all, just moved into an apartment, have space in my pantry for a decent sized mini fridge for cellaring and beer storage, but no feasible way to fit a full size fridge. Looking for reccomendations on a decent sized freezerless (to maximize space) mini fridge, at a reasonable cost. Any tips?
Hit some stores that sell commercial equipment and look for a small fridge like those you see in convenience stores that have the microwave ready food in them. They don't have freezers and are roomy. I've had problems with regulating the temp in small fridge/freezer combos. Sometimes the stuff on the top shelf freezes.
I bought a cheaper Danby wine fridge, with a glass door, and ripped the stupid wine racks out to replace them with a solid shelf. Now, it holds two levels of bombers, and I get to actually gaze lovingly at my '06-'13 DL vertical. (working on that '14). The glass door is really the feature I'm all about. Plus, you don't lose any room for a mini-freezer.
