Steel Toe Carbide is the IPA I remember from last year. It’s the closest thing we have to a PNW IPA, and should become a staple of our beer scene. I hope it’s year round. It can be improved a bit, comes out a little thin but my 12 cans won’t last long.

    Other breweries should take note.

Seen Barrel Theory had a WC IPA on the shelves. Not bad, if you like traditional IPAs you'll likely like this.

Bad Habit has a very decent West Coast Pale Ale on right now. Moby Dank. I wish it was in cans..

Also hit this again last night for the first time in a while.. Had Size 7 first and this after.. Really brought out some good dankness in the Carbide. Cleaner as well. I need to find more for sure. This was my last of my 6er.

I hope it's still on tap at Bad Habit on Tuesday. Sounds interesting and good.

Had a few more good IPAs that are new to me or, just re-released in Castle Danger's case.

The Pryes and Lupulin 100 Spoke are very good and I would say fresher take on the WC IPA. Whereas the CD is definitely more traditional with a balance of hops and malt.

Also, stopped in to Town Hall Station by accident and they have Cooler Candy on tap which was really good. Picked up a crowler. As well as a decent session IPA. Those guys are always great.

That Carbide is certainly a big seller at the brewery. It seems like that is what a lot of people are asking for.

I happened to run into this today and had to bite. Canned on 6/30 so not the freshest. But holy shnikey, I cracked the can and poured it into the glass. I thought I opened a jar of dank nugs. Ooh-wee! Taste is very green, very dank and a bit bitter. Very unique. Not sure that it's my jam, but I appreciate what they were going for here.

LOL Agree.I had that on tap at Red Cow about a month ago then went and bought a can. It was so pungent of weed I thought someone was rolling one on the porch. I liked it.

A bit unrelated to the thread, but I just read RIIP brought home the WC IPA award from Oregon Brewers guild. Congrats to them and I'm glad it reinforces my faith in my taste buds of what is world class beer. Because they do it.

I can't wait for the day our breweries are doing what they do. Patience is a virtue.. We picked up the NE/Hazy phase and do that well. Let's get it on with clear, clean, modern WC IPAs!

Picked up Piper (or Piper Classic) from Steel Toe at South Lyndale today. Listed as a pale ale but it's 6% so I figured it would fit in the theme of this thread ok. Solid bitterness, clean malt profile, another great beer from Steel Toe.

Love the artwork on the can!

Carbide is fantastic, but lately i've been getting a funky can here or there that results in a sink pour. All over Pizza Port at the moment. Hoping they are here to stay

The artwork on that can is fantastic! I love the Dole and Newman's inclusions.

TBH, after I finished 2 cans. It quickly became one of my favorites. I couldn't find many 4 packs and (didn't hog them) but by the time I made it to the brewery.. Yup! Website was out of date and they cashed the last keg the day before. I was soo bummed!

I have yet to hear about Pizza Port. I'll investigate:slight_smile:

Summit has now made Triumphant Session Ale a rotational beer. It won't be seen as much. Bummer. I like that beer. It's my "diet beer".

That is a great low carb beer....right up there with Slightly Mighty....I try to limit carbs about 80% of the year and those two and Miller Lite are my go-to's...Miller Lite for just a basic beer....although after having it following Modelo Ore it drank like a vienna lager with its maltiness....

I'll get Triumphant when I see it but looks like Bell's and Lagunitas will be getting my $ for low cal craftys.
