I love most colabo's . Specially when stone in hosting . This Recent batch has iron fist, ken Schmidt And stone working together for a what to appears to be A big bold flavor intense stout that is sticky and flavor forward just like you would assume in the title....tacky mint with heavy dark malts. Head can resemble a co2 soda but lacing is all over with 9.6% ABV.

I was able to grab a few while traveling to Bay Area , and looking forward to stocking fridge in OC when I return,
This is the best to come from the camp, and hopes to many more.

This will be my go to winter warmer ... Very well done stone! Your collabs have been on point as of late!

It's an Imperial Stout, not a porter.

Had one last night. It's diffidently the real thing. Great carbonation, thick as hell, great balance in flavor. The mint comes through more as a cooling sensation kinda menthol like. So those that are thinking it's a beer junior mint it's not like that.

It's delicious. I'm in the process of clearing out all my local BevMos...

Where did you find it in the bay area? None of my local bevmos have it yet

So this doesn't taste like an Andes mint? My assumptions made me avoid this..

No, the mint character isn't a sweet mint...it's a damn good beer, unless you despise mint in all its forms, I recommend giving it a shot.

A liquid Andes Mint sounds pretty awesome. I'm not sure there's a better mint profile for a beer.

This has arrived in the Bay Area -- picked up 3 tonight. I have a feeling it will go quickly.

Reminds me of a Thin Mint. Real toasty on the back end though.

You are correct, definitely stout! I had a few chocolate air-porters prior and wasn't paying attention to what I was typing.

I hope this beer is like all prior colabo's and lingers on the shelves for months.

This one seemed to be more limited, we were only allocated 2 cases at Adam's. Normally we can buy as much as we want.

I haven't tried it yet, but I am guessing I would be in the same camp as you.

I was weary of this, but wanted to try it nonetheless. I didn't find it overly minty, but I think that the comparison to an after dinner chocolate mint (like Andres) is probably apt. It's a nice dessert beer, but I won't stock up on it. If I see some around from time to time, I may buy a bottle or two (like I did with the Chipotle smoked porter).

I just got back to Orange County and went iso. The local total wine had it in stock but was 1 pp....wtf? The stone rep. was there so I got to ask him about the beer. He said this batch was half of what normally is produced and mentioned something about the chocolate mucking things up and loss in volume/final product...only 150 cases for OC.
I went to Bev-Mo in Laguna few miles away and they had a small amount on the shelves so I grabbed last 6 btls.
3 of which are going out to trading partners as extras.

Employees at both places commented was how it wasn't minty...I agreed and think this is positive that the mint is very subtle.

Ken thought the filtering process was going to strip out too much mint character. So yeah, ideally it would be more minty. But it also depends on what temperature you're drinking it at. Just below room temp is ideal.

love this beer. I dont mind if it was mintier but I do love how it takes more of a background role

I'm finishing my first bottle right now. It's fantastic. If you like mint chocolate -- not mint, not chocolate, but their union -- you will love this beer. I bought three bottles and might need to find a few more. I don't think it has much aging potential, but it's phenomenal.

I really dug it and I got one for my cellar so I'm curious to see how it'll evolve down the line. The mint will probably die down a little but oh well.
