"Misconceptions" Newcastle Brown Ale video. Your thoughts?

    Why would you be offended by this ad?
    If you are familiar with their advertisements at all, you would know they are pretty silly.
    Just laugh and move on :slight_smile:

    That was pretty funny. I didn't think there was anything offensive about the ad. I used to drink Newcastle a lot back in the 80's. I still like the southern England brown ale style.

    If they made the beer batter for my fish and chips out of New Castle, and they have it on tap, I will drink it, otherwise have never purchased it in a bottle. I am a dumb Sh$t

    I remember the ad they did with the brew masters hands. I think their ads are always funny and definitely tongue-in cheek.

    Beauty! Loved it. Would watch again.

    Newcastle Brown Ale is just like Guinness. People love to rip on it because it's successful, but the product itself is perfectly fine.

    I remember drinking this stuff over in England & thinking " please let me find some cask ale to wash this taste outta my mouth! Not sure how this beer really ever got reknown other than marketing

    With all due respect, I would have to disagree here. As I stated before, NBA is pretty good, but Guinness Draught is a terrible beer. Worst stout on the market. It is a shame that so many people think GD is what dark beer tastes like. Guinness Extra Stout is a pretty good beer though and I don't mind their black lager so much but wow, GD... uggg... bad beer....

    However, I do agree that successful beers seem to get criticized a lot. Even the successful "good" beers get this.
