I had a missed call from them as well a day after shipping a couple of packages. Called backed, spoke to a Fedex rep and they weren't sure why I got the call. As long as your shipment looks good online, I can only assume you are ok.

I've gotten that dreaded call before. Explained that the growler I sent (which leaked and was discovered) was a yeast sample that I was sending to another homebrewer. Got reimbursed for it, too.

 

Why would anyone be scared, other than the financial loss? It isn't as if FedEx is going to call the feds and have you arrested.

 

I've been on pins and needles all day!

 

I once got a call from FedEx saying that the address I was sending the package to was undilverable...after contacting my trade partener, phone numbers were exchanged, and after a couple of days all was good....they were going to hold it for 10 days before sending it back, but thankfully that didnt happen...

 

How much do you guys say the packages are worth? I normally go low so they don't ask me to explain what's in there, but if a few of the packages broke I would be SOL big time.

 

I wouldn't worry too much, unless they tell you something bad happened when you call back. I often get random calls from Fedex around delivery time, probably for confirmation or something like that.

FedEx will sometimes call to let you know if you have a box coming that requires some sort of signature confirmation (and rarely just when you have a delivery coming).

 

i had this happen a couple weeks ago. there was a mix up with the address and they wanted to confirm it with me before dropping it off.

 

for me, it wasnt fedex, it was ups, and they heard liquid in my box, protocal was to open it, and they found booze. Told me to come pick it up before end of day
