I bought a Backwoods Bastard 4-pack only to discover that 3 of the 4 bottles had their labels missing. Anybody else had this problem from founders or otherwise?
YES! I too bought 2-4packs from the same store, outta the same case in Oberlin, Ohio & had the same thing.
No, but something interesting/ kinda similar, I was the store the other day and saw something laying on top of a four pack of FBS, it was a Founder's patch, all the four packs there were stuffed with match packs, stickers, and patches. Should have bought one, or at the very least snapped a pic, but I was on a mission.
I don't think I've ever seen a pack of founders where the labels weren't on the verge of falling off...
Countless times. The real gem was opening up my case of Sculpin 6 packs to discover one of the bottles was missing out of my sealed box.
When my local bottle shop received its shipment of Arcitic Devil almost all of the labels were missing adhesive and falling off. My trading partners got the best ones, but the rest are in really bad shape.
I've had this problem with weyerbacher. Ive gotten several Heresy with missing or upside down labels. It doesn't effect the product inside obviously but it makes the product look cheap. I would think that could make the difference for the beer browser walking down the aisle not sure what they want.
I've had this happen with weyerbacher insanity. All bottles in the 4 pack I picked up were missing their labels.
I'll add to experiencing wonky or missing Weyerbacher labels. As NoLeafClover said, I've had them missing, upside down, extremely crooked and so on. I don't understand what's going on at that place.
If I recall correctly, I bought a case of Bourbonic Plague and was missing the label on four of the bottles. That's not Cascade's only labeling issue either. Recently heard of a bottle labeled Noyeaux that was actually Cerise Nouveau once popped. Shit happens.
I mean.. its not really a big deal. I still know what lies beneath that cap.. the only major bummer was not being able to trade them.
