I have a really fantastic beer in front of me and no option to post images to reply to NBW. Anyone else having this issue?

It's not simple here unfortunately. I use postimages, copy the direct link

    And paste the link here

It's not that bad when you get used to it.

In a nutshell, BeerAdvocate isn't currently setup to be an image hosting service, but check out the FAQ for tips:

I tried the a number of free image hosting services, but continually ran into advertising, upselling, image size limits, image lifetime limits, total storage limits, download limits, throttling, performance issues, and reliability issues. Bottom line is that image hosting is an expensive business, and they need to cover expenses. I went with the paid service, DropBox. Besides image hosting for BA posts, I store other images and files.

This is the method I use. I will co-sign that it may be a pain in the butt, but it’s easy.

I am unfortunately forgetful and mixed this website's UI with one for the guitar forum I'm on; I copied the wrong code to post a photo like a bonehead and then thought it was the website.

I used to use that postimages site all the time but now at least half the time it directs me to some ad/virus site.

I do the same thing except you can click “hot link for forums” on post images and just paste the link right into the message on BA. That way you don’t need to click the picture button.

I think it’s a little easier, especially on mobile, because you have a little more control on placing it where you want in the body of the message.

I always try to reduce the file size myself rather than letting them do it.
Simply taking a screenshot of your 12MP photo will cut it down to a quality 1MP image, and then crop it a make any adjustments needed.
It would be nice to keep these “Free” hosting services “Free” and not needlessly fill their hard drives and limit the service.

It’s also helpful if you are in a crowded place with less bandwidth or limited provider service, if you want to post the images right away.
Large file sizes can take forever at time it seems.
