That's awesome. I could likely describe the appearance of a hipster as being pretty much the opposite of the picture in your avatar....

One of my favorite weekday IPAs is Ipswich's Route 101. The only reason I bought was because I was there on delivery day for the first shipment and figured it had to be fresh. And now it's a staple in my rotation. While I like most of Ipswich's beers, it's a contract brewery that most people overlook and wouldn't think of as top-tier IPA producer, so would be justified in passing on the beer. But Route 101 is delicious and just as importantly consistent.

There is as much craft beer, if not more, as there is BMC beer that I won't buy again even though I did try quite a few of them to practice rating AAL's to style. I think a fun chart would be to see how many beers you have had how many times. So you could have 800 total beers but only have drunk 10 or 20 of them on a regular basis.

Even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while.
Don't care who makes the beer, I care about how it tastes.
Having said that, it is impossible to keep up with absolutely ever beer released, and I am grateful for that.
How bored we would all get if we had tasted everything...

Example: I have not had a beer from magic hat that I particularly liked. But that won't stop me from trying any or everything new they make if I can find it.

It's only beer - drink what you like. I don't like BMC but the Pig & Fiddle had Goose Island Bourbon Country Brand Stout on tap Monday and I sat and drank it all night. I wouldn't do the same with Bud or Coors. Just don't like them.

If you worry about what you're missing out on you'll end up going nuts. There are thousands of breweries making tens of thousands of beers. Many of 'em are really good, so no matter what you do you're always missing out. As long as you're drinking beers you enjoy, you're doing fine.

I like trying local beers from local breweries. They may not be the greatest but certainly aren't the worst either. I think you have to try a beer from whatever brewery you don't "like/respect" to be able to give an accurate opinion, instead of accepting someone else's opinion.

There are over 3,000 breweries in the USA. I'm sure I have missed out on many good beers.

There's way too much good beer out there to get hung up on specific beers.

Will buy anything. Got a 6r for my daughter and her friends of ShockTop Raspberry, drank a left over one and loved it. Was at the store tonite with my wife and saw it on the shelf, almost grabbed it but figured she would ask me "Which of the 3 fridges do you think that Fn 6 pack will fit in? Are you drinking it tonite? If not tonite when the hell are you going to drink what you have?" That went thru my mind in the 1 second it took to yank my hand back from the cooler. Good beer is good beer, if you don't try you will never know
