Missing Trader: Tertullian007

Bad news Steve, he is in a BIF that I am in as well, and while he held up his end on that, he set up a handful of trades with people that were in the BIF after it ended, and he stiffed them out of some nice beers.

Maybe @CTJman can chime in?

 

I can also chimed in... After multiple good trades with him @Tertullian007 was going on a trip and even CALLED me for my opinion on beers that he should pick up for me. I had already sent out a box and was expecting Side Projects Saison De Blu, BC Prop, 2 Abraxas, ola dubh 30yr among others. From that point forward he stopped responding to BM, email, TXT, Phone calls etc. I even saw him active on STLHOPS.com

 

Well yes I can. I sent Jeremy a box of maybe $80 worth of beer in return he was to send out a box of equal value. He did ship it via fedex on 12/3 (day he went inactive) I received a msg from fedex he went back and picked up the box. He told me there was an exception and fedex told him to come get his box. After that he never responded to me again. I even found him on Facebook under the same handle here and decided to reach out. He's obviously been active on fb but he didn't respond to those msgs either. I've chalked him up as F'ing me over and moved on but sorry to here about your bif. I think you can cross him off as sending the required box.

I also have all our msgs saved up until 12/3. Too bad some just go bad.

 

i know he is selling beer in his cellar as he said he was moving so not sure beyond that.

It sounds like he's been on the screw-path for a month or more now. While I don't want to blame the victims of a thief, let's please call these jackwalrusii out faster. If someone would have put out a public warning on him earlier, some people might have been saved having good beer stolen from them.

Is there any way you can contact the website/host and explain the situatuion? Maybe they can pull your beer that he's selling. I know there is no way to actually prove it's yours, but opening a conversation with them may be the first step in eliminating his profits from what I'd still consider your beers.

 

Not sure. Looks like my beers were taken off his list and most were asked for from others. Not sure if pulling any beer helps as it's still in his possession.

 

I think he's met up with a lot of people who wanted the beers so I'm sorry to anyone who got burned here. I personally myself was going to get a few but after being directed here to this thread and others I told him that I didn't feel right buying beers when he had people out there waiting for beer in return. He flatly stated that he understood, said he had full intentions of taking care of said people and followed it up by saying he had others interested in the beers anyways. So....

I don't remember exactly what the trades were as they were not mine, but I'm a pretty good friends with Jared and I think he's selling Jared's beer, and the beer he was supposed to be sending to Jared.

Stand up move on your part though.

 

Wow I had an IP trade with him in October. He drove about 40 miles out of his way to make it happen. He seemed like a cool guy.

 

It seems fairly obvious what is going on here. Sounds like the guy is moving, which in his minds, means the people he screwed over will not be able to find after his change of address. Given this, he set up a number of last minute trades with full intention of maximizing profit with no intention of reciprocating. Very calculated and callous move.

 

Its obvious this is not a "missing trader"..Its obviously a bad trader and hopefully someone has informed the right people..

 

He answered on Stlhops. I feel bad for the guy now knowing his tough times, which is contrary to what I said and others may disagree. I sent him a msg on Stlhops and if he so chooses to reach out to me I would be open to talking to him. I'm easy to forgive and hope times turn for him as I know he was a real stand up guy before going Mia. Just thought I'd throw out my 2 cents. Now I know it doesn't excuse the actions but I'm all for letting him rebuild his reputation.
