I set up a trustee relationship (I am the trustee) for this gentlemen for his El Cat beers. He sent me boxes to ship him beers perfectly (a whole box of shipping boxes!). He then sent me labels that went off without a hitch. Something happened with his last set of labels where they wouldn't print (in sept) and I have been trying to request more to be sent since. I am sitting on two boxes of his brews for six months! I have texted and emailed him with promises that he will send shipping labels ASAP without actually doing so. My question is what next!?! I do not want to absorb this gentlemen's beers into my cellar but I also am getting tired of looking at these boxes packed up and ready to go. What is etiquette on this? Does anyone know this guy that can get the wheels moving? I really don't want to receive anything for the trouble of shipping, storing, etc I just want these beers gone from my house! Cheers!
@ZamaMan , if you don't want the beer, I'll take them Not sure what I would do to be frank. Maybe send him a serous "last warning before I drink it all"?
Just had a thought...if the box is continued to be unclaimed, I recall seeing LIF thread fundraising for causes, etc. where the organizers ask for additional beer contribution. I'd be happy to send shipping labels to have the boxes shipped to 1 or 2 of these fundraising events so that they can be added to the LIF beers/boxes.
This is so confusing...someone getting screwed over for HOLDING someone else's beer. Sorry OP, I believe this is the first time is in almost 10 years I've ever heard of such a problem. I suggest starting a bad truster?thread JUST KIDDING. Perhaps look at what region the guy is from and post another thread there. Not everyone looks at these forums, maybe someone will recognized and/or know him in that region. If that doesn't work, do you have his email or phone number?
Tried texting him multiple times with messages back saying the shipping labels were on their way (3 months ago). My patience is running thin.
