Does anyone know definitively what the blends are in this ale? I've read that it's a brown (Nectar Ales Humboldt Brown?), stout (Firestone Walker Velvet Merlin?), and barleywine (Firestone Walker Abacus?). I've also read that it could have an imperial stout (FW Parabola?) or a porter (FW Robust Porter?).

I get zero bourbon at all in this beer, so I doubt there's any Abacus / Parabola in it.

agreed. might be the base (non-barrel aged) beers that ultimately become parabola or abacus but there is absolutely no bourbon in this beer. awesome beer though and at $3 per 22 ounce it is one of the truly great craft beer buys of the year IMHO.

I personally prefer paying a dollar extra for the Trader Joe's Vintage Ale (a dark belgian, brewed by Unibroue) but yes... this beer is a steal.
