Missouri Open Bottle Law

    Asking for a friend.....who will be traveling through the state....

    Is Missouri one of the last in the country to allow open bottle as long as driver is not drinking?

    Yes, and they're paying for it by not being able to use federal funds for certain highway projects too:

    Some Missouri counties do not allow this so be sure and check.

    So county laws would override state law in Missouri?

    There is no state law to override, there's only a law applying to the driver.
