I've seen this thread come up before for IPAs etc. but never for craft lagers. What are the lagers you would choose if you had to craft a mix a 6 from your home state?

For PA I would go for:

    St. Boisterous
    Sunshine Pils
    Sly Fox Oktoberfest
    Troegenator
    Victory Lager
    Stoudts Gold

Of course someone from PA starts this. I'm from NJ, but as I'm currently in NY:

    Brooklyn Octoberfest
    Sixpoint Crisp
    Southampton Keller Pils
Saranac Black Forest (Maybe? I remember it not being too roasty; almost closer to a dunkel)
I'd probably give my last two spots to more Brooklyn 'fests

Tough to exclude victorious, prima, and St nikolaus reserve, but I can't argue with your PA selections. Lots of great German-style lagers here

    IL:
    Metropolitan Dynamo
    Metropolitan Flywheel Bright Lager
    Two Brothers Dog Days
    Two Brothers Atom Smasher (Oktoberfest)
    Revolution Usethe (Schwarzbier)
    Revolution Oktoberfest

I excluded 3F, since they're not in IL, but their Munsterfest is excellent.

I see folks are struggling with the difference between ale and lager....

Sadly, I have absolutely zero choices for this thread. RI produces nothing in the lager category, or at least nothing worth mentioning. And no, Narragansett doesn't count.

PS: Super bummed that St. Boisterous isn't getting bottled any longer. :slight_frown:

I was coming into say this for NJ. Beach Haus made a winter lager but that's not even brewed in NJ. Climax makes a lager I believe too. Slim pickins.
