Where's our Wisconsin contingent? I don't live in the Dairy State, so I don't want to step on toes, but Capital? Sprecher? Lake Front? New Glarus?

    Lemme hear ya!

Steveh, I was composing my list when you asked about Wisconin:

Two Women, Edel Pils, Naked, Staghorn (if it is Oktoberfest time), basically, any lagers from New Glarus that are available are often part of my mix 6 purchases. Sometime they'll have a lager in their Thumbprint series, which is always worth trying. Of course, they won't all be available at once.

Another that I've put in my mixes over the last year or so is O'So Brewing's Memory Lane, a very nice pilsner, IMO.

To these, I might add a few from Capital Brewing, depending on availability and the mood I am in. I really fell in love with their maibock a few summers back. They have a good doppelbock, too.

Another malty lager worth a try, if that's your mindset, is Lakefront's Riverwest. I used to really like red lagers, and this was a favorite. Nowadays, I'm more into more balanced, golden malts, with a whiff of noble hops. Which brings me back to Two Women and Edel Pils....

    I've left out a few, I'm sure.

And if none of these are too your likeing, my state also offers a certain triple-hopped lager you might enjoy.

That's all I can muster. I need to try a few more. Firestone's Pivo Pils should be sixers soon.

I'll second the Stein beer -- this was one of my first ever micros back in the late '80s, early '90s, and I still go back to it now and again.

Great Lakes makes some of the best lagers out there - you also need to make room for Wright Pils.

Here in Charlotte, NC, it's tough to not just rattle off six beers from The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery -- but I'll try.

    North Carolina

    Duck-Rabbit Baltic Porter
    Foothills Torch Pilsner
    Mother Earth Dark Cloud
    OMB Dunkel
    OMB Captain Jack
    OMB Mecktoberfest

It's not a Rhode Island beer. They have a "headquarters" here and they do some of their brewing at Trinity in Providence, but their main presence is outside of the state.

Well, a mix a six-pack means packaged beers. There are a number of draft only lagers I would put on my list but for packaged beers:

    · Victory St. Victorious Doppelbock
    · Sly Fox Pikeland Pils
    · Sly Fox Oktoberfest
    · Sly Fox Golden Munich Helles
    · Victory Prima Pils
    · Troegs Sunshine Pils

This year’s Victory St. Victorious was OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Cheers!
