I really wish that the Coors craft beers were more widely distributed. In particular the Barman Pilsner. There are so few US craft brewed packaged Czech Pilsners. Brewpubs local to me occasionally brew Czech Pilsners but they are specialty beers (not available year round).

    Cheers!

Yes, Jack's Abby does do a Baltic Porter that's laggered. ANYONE who can MUST try any of their beers. In an ale dominated market, they do the BEST lagers outside of Germany.

Yeah, you can lager any sugary substance, will it turn out good... that depends ;P

I wish they were easier to obtain even locally. To my knowledge, Barmen Pils is only available in 6-7 places, with all but 2 of them (Falling Rock Taphouse, Coors Field) being in the greater Golden area. Most places that serve it have special branded glasses and even do the whole "7 minute pour" thing. The guys at AC Golden are the ones making it, although it's usually only referred to as being from Coors or the Sandlot.
I've never been to the Czech republic, so I can't compare it with their finest fresh pilsners, but quality-wise it's on par with the German lagers I've had in Bavaria.
