I saw this topic and thought, well this could be interesting. I was wrong. OP asks a question just stuns me.

On the flip side, the only place that I have seen something like this go on was at a Costco during an event where they had four or five different beers from the same brewer and they allowed customers to pick the quantities they wanted of each style. This allowed for sampling of different styles however this was the only time I have seen this done; again, it was allowed and regulated by the promoters of the event that were in attendance working with Costco.

    BeerAdvocate.

Am I allowed to "sample" beer at the store? I cracked a few beers while I was shopping and forgot to pay for them. I was too drunk to remember.

It is also not ok to go through the beer aisles and just put anything you see in a mix pack and pay the $9.99. If it's in the mix six section then take it but don't take a bottle of duvel, a bottle of orval, a bottle of three philosopher etc . . . to the cash register int he mix six pack leaving a bunch of 4 packs 1 short.

Sadly, it's not just here, it's everywhere.

From Quebec eh? Go to a dep (convenience store for uninitiated :stuck_out_tongue:) that sells singles and make your own.

I'm assuming you're talking about grocery stores but we don't have that many mixed packs for craft beer unless you're talking about Molson/Labatt/etc?

We are not interested in everywhere, only our little corner of the universe for beer OCD members
