It is a lot of data entry to start, and to keep up with....but generally it's worth it.

I recently found a place relatively close to me that sells singles for a reasonable price. I'm looking forward to finally going to a REAL liquor store.

Am I the only one that hates getting a six-pack of the same beer...?

$1.99 - 2.99 for single bottles, but you get 10% off the total when you buy six at my local places. Fantastic deal IMO.

I'm surprised there aren't more bottle shops near me. I'm in Macomb County about 30 minutes from Detroit, and the nearest place seems to be in Eastpointe, which is about a 25 minute drive from me.

A shop I've begun to frequent doesn't even sell bottles in packs anymore, only singles. You mix any six and get 5%, any 12 and get 10%, including bombers, 750's, and little 7 oz's. I consider it a pretty sweet deal if you're just into sampling beers one at a time; it also slows down turnaround so more people get the opportunity to score on hard to get beers. Last time I got some 2012 Bigfoot. I thought I'd missed it completely!

Hell yeah- a case is a lot cheaper!

The place where I shop does a limited mix-a-six, but at a budget price ($8.99, which is the same price for SA around here). Whatever is on the rack changes from week to week, but there is usually good stuff on there (some of which sells for $10.99 a four-pack), so it's good to check out every now and then.

That is very surprising considering you're in one of the biggest counties in the state.

My local mom and pop beer shop prices everything as singles, there are no six pack prices. Want a six pack? You pay the individual price for those six beers.

Annoyingly, I have to drive a ways to get to shops that allow mixed 6 packs. The ones around me don't do it (except for one place that only allows it for old beer they're trying to pawn off on a separate shelf  ...that doesn't count in my book). The stores I'll drive out of my way to for mix 6 packs offer a 10-15% discount on 6-or more bottles.

All around SoCal the singles are always a bit higher than dividing a 4 or 6 pack price by the number of bottles. However, I will gladly pay the premium in order to try new things without committing to an entire pack.
