I once poured a Saranac Caramel Porter into two fingers of Pumpkin Pie Cream Liqueur. It foamed up beautifully and got me really exicted... then the foam never died down, and I remembered my basic chemistry...
I ate it with a spoon; I'm still not sure whether or not I enjoyed it.

I've never tried this before but I got a bunch of breakfast stout. I could possibly spare a couple to experiment with. Just need to think up some good pairings for it.

I just made an attempt at a black and tan with Columbus Ipa and Founders Imperial Stout , It didn't layer the way I hoped but the end result was rather tasty .

I did something similar last night, but it was Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin + Brooklyn BCS. It was definitely enjoyable, but the Weyerbacher was still very strong at 50/50 (I'd like more stout character). I've got two more bottles left, and I might try to either get the proportions correct or try another stout- and Old Raspy sounds like it could be about right.

Rumour has it that Unibroue used to sell a mix of Fin du Monde and Blanche de Chambly to a Quebec rosted chicken restaurant (St-Hubert) as a refreshing food-pairing beer. Having have it, that's about what it tastes like. That's a beer cocktail I can get behind.

Having argued that I could blend a better beer than Rogue's Voodoo Maple Bacon Doughnut thing I took a bottle of a local Maple Red Ale (Stone Hammer) and mixed it with Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen. It was better (better maple, richer smoke), for what that's worth...

Any fans out there that like to mix different beers in a single glass? My current favorite is 1/2 scotch ale (Arcadia Loch Down) and 1/2 Russian imperial stout (Brooklyn Black Chocolate). The scotch ale adds a little sweetness to the stout, while the stout brings in the heavy malt and coffee.

I mix beers. My newest is 2/3 Green Flash IPA and 1/3 Goose Island IPA on tap. I find the green flash a tad much on the resin side. The mix smooths this out. Delicous.

I really haven't tried it much. I like to make Black and Tans at the bar with Yuengling and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout and that's about it. Someone on here mentioned a combination they tried of Pumking and Breakfast Stout that I think I have to go for considering those are my two favorite beers. I'm a glutton for punishment I know.

The best combo I've had was oddly enough 2 beers I'm not super fond of. Half and half of Torpedo and Storm King. For some reason the combo was far better than the individual parts. Always looking for good suggestions though.

Great new combo just mixed, a Bells Expedition Stout with Kasteel Rouge, about half and half, maybe leaning toward the stout. Thick, creamy and plain wonderful. Kasteel was cellar temp and stout was refrigerated when mixed.

I make black and tans every now and then, usually with SNPA or Torpedo mixed with Storm King or Eddy Fitz. That's about it as far as my mixing goes though.

I actually 'cut' my Southern Tier Pumking with 1/2 Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale. I'm a big fan of Pumking's spices, less fond of the sweetness. Smuttynose's bitterness balances it out.

    To the OP...great topic!

Years ago, when Grant's Perfect Porter was available, a waitress turned me on to mixing it with Lindemanns Framboise. I was VERY surprised and found it quite delish.
