Just mixed sierra nevada torpedo and deschutes inversion ipa, much nicer and fuller flavor than either one alone.

I just french pressed a Founders Russian Imperial Stout with a handful of dried coconut and three handfuls of espresso/french vanilla coffee beans that were steeped in maple syrup.

    Holy shit, it's good.

1/3 Bud, 1/3 Miller, 1/3 Coors. Surprisingly, just as bad tasting as all three individually.

I tried my first mixing: Old Rasputin and BCBS 50/50

Stellar. BCBS is a bit too sweet and a bit of a vanilla assault, but when tamed by the Old Raspy, those notes are subdued enough to be much more enjoyable. This is a very affordable way to have 24 delicious ounces of 12.5% stout with some mellow barrel notes in it.

Harpoon's Winter Warmer and Cider mixed together 50/50 is basically an apple pie in a glass.

Mix beers? Sure, I do it all the time. Just last night I had a Heady Topper first then I had a SN Celebration then I had a Bell's Two Hearted. After dinner, I had a SN Stout.

Remember that year (was it 2009) when The Abyss had either an infection or a pronounced sour cherry note (depending on who you listen to)? I was at a bottle share party and had about half the bomber left when I saw an open half bottle of Lindeman's Kriek sitting on the counter as well...

    It was UHMAZING.

leinie's blends can be a nice combination:
Honeyweiss & Berry Weiss - Honeyberry
Berry Weiss & Creamy Dark - Black Bear

Mixed Triple Digit Cranium and Mad Tree Thunder Snow and it was delightful!

Also mixed Marshal Zurkhov and Good Gourd on Halloween and was impressed with the results.

A buddy of mine mixed Ghost Face Killah and Mango Magnifico at a recent tasting, you can imagine the results...

One of my favorites is a drink called the Belgian Sunrise from a bar in DC - Allagash White layered on top of Kasteel Framboise.

Another DC favorite is a Dufrain - a pint of Guinness with a shot of espresso dropped in. Unbelievably good.

Cascade Honey Ginger Lime with DeGarde's Blu Bu Weisse - it was quite impressive

Thanks to lopo for the inspiration on this one!

I work at a growler filling station and the owner has taken in upon herself to start mixing beers. For example they'll take Founders - Rubeus and mix it with Young Double Chocolate calling it a Raspberry kiss. Also they'll take lemon shandy and mix it with a habenero beer. It is appalling to me that they do this in an attempt to sell stuff. I think it ruins the experience and the brewers most likely never intended their beer to mixed.

Anybody ever mix beers and find one that's actually good?

All the time. I'd be bored to tears some times if I didn't. Use the search function and you can find a couple of my favorites. Sometimes two mediocre beers combined make excellent beers.
