MN State Fair

I think it's the same place.

 

As far as space and a good location that will maximize exposure to the exhibit I don't think they could do much better.

 

Ballpark Cafe in the food building is supposed to have 15 MN craft beers on tap, including a couple not yet in the twin cities. Lift Bridge to have a mini donut inspired beer with cinnamon sugar on the rim of the glass. Can't wait.

Plus Summit is doing a state fair beer that will only be tapped at 1pm each day. 1 keg a day, at their normal stand.

 

Yes, it will be in the Ag/Hort building again. The Craft Brewers Guild says it will return this year with an "expanded exhibit space".

 

I go on the first day....I'm sure we lucked out as word of mouth/news hadn't hit yet but it was fine. The problem would be finding a space that would still draw the same crowd...they can't just kick someone out of their spot, so that leaves machinery hill with an outdoor or tented display area, and they'd receive less traffic. We all love great beer so i'd rather have them stay where they are and educate/transform the masses.

 

If anyone is going this Friday (8/23) that wants to meet up for a pint or two, let me know. I'll be roaming the grounds with the fam.

 

I won't be to the fair until late in the run but wanted to wish everyone cheers. As a request, could everyone that goes update this thread with what they drank and where? I'd love to be in the loop before I head to the grounds.

I plan on hitting up Ballpark even though they got rid of the Brat Burger on a pretzel bun (shakes fist).

 

excited for the fair, bringing some canned goodies with. should be fun.

 

Same spot, almost doubled in square footage (they took over an adjacent part of the building as well). Should be better for moving around and drinking. Cannot remember what they had last year, but this year there are 3 different trailers pouring beer as well.

 

Hooray!! I really wanted to go last year, but there was just no way I was getting through the crowd. Hopefully better luck this year!

 

I'll hit up The Ball Park Cafe early and often, for sure and Land of 10,00 brews without a doubt. Super stoked for the Day Tripper Battered Onion Rings.

 

When kinds of beer do they usually have there anything good?

 

First time going to this fair. I have had brewers tell me about a MN Craft Brewers Guild area. Is that the same as Land of 10,000 beers or is that yet another area?

 

I work at Giggles' Campfire Grill up in the Northwoods section and they posted their selection for this year. There is a new permanent pavilion in back that will have 24 taps so you don't have to wait in the food lines.
