So which bottles are allegedly "off"? I'm hearing increasing reports from people that I shouldnt trade for the MTH bottles (not the growlers). Is this true? Does anyone have any confirming/denying info?

I haven't had an off bottle yet, and I've had the Czar Jack twice, which is the only one I've heard anyone have an issue with. The only thing I've noticed after having the whole lineup is that the wax is helping to keep in some carbonation.

Wee Jack was infected when I had some recently.

Interesting, I had mine about a month ago (maybe more?) and it was delicious! I have a Buffalo Bock with my name on it as well, I'll report back on its quality.

speaking as an armchair observer, my guess is (if there IS infection), it's too early to tell if it's batch-wide or how bad it is, so you're going to get conflicting reports and arguments.

before abyss 09 was confirmed infected by the brewery, you had a lot of this disagreement, as well. it's tough to get any consensus.

Wouldnt over carbonation be a good early sign though?

"Increasing Reports"? Interesting interpretation. There's been a bottle or two of Czar Jack & one or two of Wee Jack (which was a weird, wine-like beer in the first place).

I'll happily take any bottles off your hands that you're afraid of. Especially Twisted Jim or Czar Jack. Of Buffalo Bock.

Depends on what is infecting it.

I haven't opened either the Czar Jack or Twisted Jim (bottles) I received recently, but the growler of Three Hour Tour that came with it was super infected. It sounded great when I opened it but it tasted like sour blood. I thinking it was a growler cleaning issue though since I haven't heard anything about that beer being infected.

That's what I hear. I was told I would get a fresh growler on the next release so I'm not disheartened by the experience. It was pretty funny watching other people's faces when they took a sip, especially after explaining the style and what it was supposed to taste like.
